Contact Info: It's For Quilting, etc., LLC 2252 New Milford School road Rockford, Illinois 61109 815-986-5794 tollfree 877-454-3032   Our History: Our quilt store is located inside a newly renovated 150 year old victorian house which has gone from being a hospital and doctor's office, to a boy's home, to an Italian restaurant, and now a quilt shop. Dr. Rosecrance built the house in the late 1860's. He used it as his doctor's office and home and treated many wounded soldiers there. At that time, this house was also considered a main stopping point for horse drawn carriages carrying goods to Rockford. Later, it became the first Rosecrance home for boys. Rosecrance still exists today as Rosecrance Treatments Centers. They outgrew this house in the mid 1900's and now treat adolescents, youth, adults, and families for alcohol and drug abuse in multiple locations. When the Rosecrance's moved out of this house, the Manzullo's moved in along with their two children, Don, who serves as our area's Representative in Congress, and Frank, who ran the restaurant with his wife MaryAnn, until his retirement in 2004. The building next door to the house, which now houses our classroom building, was the first restaurant the Manzullo's opened. It was a drive-in restaurant where they served pizza burgers and spaghetti. The Manzullo's later expanded into the first floor of their house with the addition of a bar and dining room. Store Hours: Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday 10am-5pm Saturday 10am-4:30pm Closed Sunday and Monday. *We will be closed from December 24 through January 1 for inventory and the holidays. A Note about Bad Weather!!! In case of bad weather, please call ahead before driving to our store. I will add a message on our phone indicating our closing or special hours during bad weather. We are located about 2 miles south of Bypass 20 on the northwest corner of Illinois 251 (11th Street) and New Milford School Road in the former Manzullo’s Famous Restaurant. Heading north on I-39 toward Rockford
Take the Baxter Road exit. Turn left heading west onto Baxter Road. Turn right heading north when you come to IL-251. Turn left at the first traffic light onto New Milford School. We will be on the right. Heading north on I-90 toward Rockford
Take the US-20 exit, which is the first Rockford exit, heading west toward Freeport. Take the IL-251 exit heading south toward Rochelle. New Milford School Road is about 2 miles or so down the road. Our house sits very close to the road and there is a traffic light on the corner. Heading south on I-90 toward Rockford Take the US-20 exit, heading west toward Freeport. This is the fourth Rockford exit. (Do not confuse this exit with the Business 20 exit, which comes just before it.) Take the IL-251 exit heading south toward Rochelle.
